This editorial policy explains how the pages on wisemore.org are written and checked: who prepares them, how we use AI, how facts are verified before publishing, what the “Last checked” date means and how you can tell us about a mistake. Decisions about studying abroad involve deadlines, money and official procedures, so we want you to know exactly where our information comes from.
Who prepares our pages
Our pages are prepared by the Wisemore editorial team. Our guides show this in their byline, together with the date their facts were last checked. We do not present our pages as written or reviewed by named experts.
How we use AI
Drafts of our pages are prepared with the help of AI. A draft is never published as it is: every page goes through a separate review step before it appears on the website.
How every page is reviewed
Before a page is published, it goes through a separate review step. The review checks:
- Facts against official sources. Every requirement, date and figure about universities, applications or documents is compared with an official source.
- Our legal wording rules. For example, we describe our document services as practical help with documents, never as legal advice; we never promise admission or any other outcome; and we never offer to write a Personal Statement or motivation letter for you.
- Prices. Wisemore prices on our pages come only from the owner of the business and from one central price list, so every page shows the same price.
If a fact cannot be confirmed by an official source, it is removed from the page.
Why we cite official sources
Rules for applications, documents and deadlines are set by the institutions and organisations that run them, and they change. That is why we rely on official sources rather than on other agencies or blogs, and why we link to them so you can check the information yourself. Examples include:
- gov.uk, the UK government website;
- UCAS, the UK admissions service for full-time undergraduate courses;
- Studielink, the official registration and application portal for most programmes at Dutch higher education institutions;
- uni-assist, which evaluates applications from international students for many German universities;
- embassy and consulate websites, and the websites of the universities themselves.
When a guide uses official sources, it lists them at the end of the page.
What “Last checked” means
The “Last checked” date on our guides shows when the facts on that page were last verified against the official sources. Requirements and deadlines can change after that date, so for anything that affects your application, always confirm the details with the institution or the official source linked on the page.
Corrections
If you find a mistake or information that is out of date, please write to us at [email protected]. Tell us the page and what you think is wrong. We will check it against the official source and correct the page if needed.
Our services and our content
Some of our pages describe Wisemore services and show their prices. Information pages and guides are written to be useful on their own, whether or not you use our services. You can read more about the company on our about page and about our process on the how we work page.
