Personal Statement help and feedback

Price from €70

Our Personal Statement review and feedback service is for students who are writing their own statement and want an experienced second reader. You write the statement; we check it against the requirements of your chosen institution or programme and give you clear feedback on content, structure, grammar and style, with two rounds of feedback on your drafts. The same service covers motivation letters for universities that ask for one instead of a Personal Statement. Prices start at €70, and we confirm the exact price before you pay.

Feedback on your drafts: You write the statement yourself; we review each draft and show you how to make it stronger.

Your statement, in your words

A Personal Statement or motivation letter has to be your own work. We never write it for you, and we do not rewrite your drafts into our own text. Our role is to help you see what admissions tutors look for, what is missing from your draft and what could be clearer, so that the final version is stronger and still sounds like you.

What’s included

  • Requirements review. We study the Personal Statement or motivation letter requirements of your chosen institution or programme: length, format and what it asks you to cover.
  • Information gathering. We help you gather and structure information about your education, experience and motivation before you start writing, so you have a clear plan.
  • Feedback on your drafts. You write the statement yourself; we review each draft and show you how to make it stronger. The service includes two rounds of draft feedback.
  • Proofreading and feedback. We check your text thoroughly for grammar, style and content issues and suggest corrections for you to make.
  • Final consultation. We discuss the final version with you and suggest any last improvements.

Why a second reader helps

  • Individual approach. Feedback is based on your own achievements, goals and the programme you are applying to.
  • Meeting expectations. We show you what leading institutions expect from a Personal Statement.
  • Time saved. A clear plan and focused feedback help you write a strong statement faster.
  • A clear structure. A clearly structured, persuasive statement is more likely to catch the admissions tutors’ attention.

How it works

  1. Send us your programme and deadline. Tell us where you are applying and, if you have one, share your current draft. If you have not started yet, that is fine: we begin with the requirements and your plan.
  2. We confirm the price and the timeline. We confirm the exact price before you pay, and we confirm the timeline before you pay, based on your university deadlines.
  3. You pay. By card through a payment link, or by bank transfer. All prices are in euros.
  4. Requirements and plan. We go through what the institution asks for and help you structure your ideas.
  5. You write, we give feedback. You send a draft, we return comments and suggested corrections. You revise it and send the next draft for the second round.
  6. Final check (part of the second round). We discuss the final version with you and suggest any last improvements. You decide what goes into the statement you submit.

Personal Statements and motivation letters

In the UK, a Personal Statement is part of the UCAS application for undergraduate courses. Universities in other countries, including the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, may ask for a motivation letter instead, and the requirements differ between institutions and programmes. Because of this, the first step is always the requirements of the institution you are applying to. Our feedback follows those requirements rather than a fixed template.

Packages that include Personal Statement help

Personal Statement help is included in two of our packages:

  • Standard, €699: help choosing an institution, document review and document checklist, help with gathering documents, application completion, translation into English without certification (10 pages), Personal Statement help, a one-hour expert consultation and accommodation search.
  • Extended, €1299: everything in Standard and more.

The Standard package saves you €321 compared with ordering the same services separately. See every package side by side on our pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Will you write my Personal Statement for me?

No. You write the statement yourself. We review your drafts, give feedback and suggest corrections, and you decide what to change.

How many rounds of feedback are included?

Two rounds of feedback on your drafts. The discussion of your final version is part of the second round.

Do you also help with motivation letters?

Yes. Some universities and programmes, for example in the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, ask for a motivation letter instead of a Personal Statement. We work the same way: you write it, we review it against the institution's requirements and give feedback.

How much does it cost?

The price starts from the amount shown at the top of this page. We confirm the exact price before you pay.

How long does it take?

We confirm the timeline before you pay, based on your university deadlines.

Can I start before I have a draft?

Yes. We can start with the requirements of your programme and help you gather and structure your ideas before you write the first draft.
